ST&T: Livin’ la Vida Okra

In this fun and practical session, learn the basics of planting and caring for okra plants this Summer, as well as how to participate in this year’s Farm to School Month campaign, Livin’ la Vida Okra. We’ll also show how okra is planted on Cosmos Farm, a small-scale, diversified vegetable farm in Carrollton, GA, as well as how it’s planted by the PreK students at Little Ones Learning Center in Forest Park!

Kimberly Koogler is a local food advocate and the Farm to School Coordinator at Georgia Organics. She has extensive experience in non-profit settings, as well as on small scale, diversified vegetable farms in Georgia, Minnesota and Arizona.
